Anna Urena

Anna Urena is a passionate dance instructor born and raised in New York with a rich background in technique and training. She began her journey in Ballet, Modern, Contemporary, Jazz, and Musical Theater, eventually falling in love with Latin social dances — especially Salsa and Bachata.

Anna brings a holistic, heart-centered approach to her classes, blending strong foundational technique with musicality, expression, and mindful movement. Her mission is to help students feel more confident, connected, and fulfilled through dance.

She is the founder of Almara Dance, a Phoenix-based dance company offering beginner-friendly Salsa and fusion classes rooted in community and creativity.

Weekly Salsa Class Schedule:
• Sundays @ 2 PM – Beginner Salsa 101
• Sundays @ 3 PM – Beginner Salsa 201 (some experience recommended)
• Mondays @ 8 PM – Beginner Salsa 101
• Fridays @ 6 PM – Open Level Salsa Footwork & Body Movement.

Anna is also in the rotation schedule at TUMBAO | Latin Fridays, teaching “Beginning Salsa”.
